View Merge Operation Results in the ADClean.log File

You can view the results of the merge process in a log file named ADClean.log, which you open in a text application such as Notepad. The file contains a cumulative log of the processes completed by the wizard.

You can delete portions of the log that you no longer need. You can also print the log file for further review.

To view the results in the ADClean.log file:

1. Merge accounts using Active Directory Account Cleanup Wizard.
2. Start Notepad or any text application that can be used to view log files.
3. Open the ADClean.log file in the text application you are using. By default, the ADClean.log file is located in the <SystemRoot>\Program Files/Exchsrvr\Bin directory.

   For example, if you are using Notepad, from the File menu, click Open, and then browse to the location of ADClean.log.

4. Use the information in the ADClean.log file to interpret the merge process.
