How a User Class Works

You create user classes in order to impose restrictions on groups of chat users. The restrictions levied on a class apply to each member of the class. All members of a class can be prevented from logging on to a chat community, creating or joining dynamic channels, or becoming a channel owner or host. You can also regulate the processing of messages from class members and limit the number of channels class members can create on a chat community.

Configure user class properties on the tabs:

• General.  Use to set general selection criteria for class members, such as logon mode, or client address.
• Access.  Use to impose restrictions on, or specify a connect time for, class members.
• Settings.  Use to enable attack protection, limit the number of channels and IP connections for class members, or impose delays on the processing of incoming messages and nickname changes.
