Creating a Word List

To filter offensive language by using the Profanity Filter extension, you begin by creating a word list. A list can be created for each category of message (private messages, nicknames, channel names, and those messages sent on dynamic channels), or a list can be created for each registered channel on a chat community.

To create a list of words to be filtered:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to the IRCX folder for the server hosting the chat community where you want to filter offensive language.
