Supporting Messaging Clients

Allow Anonymous Access

Enabling anonymous connections allows HTTP clients to access resources without specifying a Microsoft Windows 2000 user account. Passwords for anonymous accounts are not verified; the password is only logged in Windows 2000 Event Log. By default, anonymous access is not enabled.

To allow anonymous access:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to HTTP.
