Use SSL with Basic Authentication
SSL is an encryption method for sending messages over a secure channel. If a virtual server is configured for basic authentication over SSL, users must specify a valid Windows 2000 user account and password to log on. By default, HTTP virtual servers use port 443 for SSL communications. If you are configuring multiple virtual servers, you must change the default SSL port to create a unique combination of IP address, TCP port, and SSL port.
