Monitor Performance

Specific performance monitors are available for IMAP4. They are set in the Windows 2000 System Monitor. With System Monitor, you can collect and view extensive data about the usage of hardware resources and the activity of IMAP4 virtual servers on computers that you administer. To set IMAP4 performance counters:

1. Start Performance
   on the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Performance.
2. Right-click the detail pane, and then click Add Counters.
3. To select the computer running the IMAP4 virtual server, click either Use local computer counters or click Select counters from computer, and then select the server.
4. In Performance Object, select MSExchangeIMAP4.
5. To monitor all counters, click All counters. To monitor specific counters, click Select counters from list, and then click the counter name. To read a description of the counter, click Explain.
