When SMTP sends a MAPI message to an Internet client, all
attachments are assigned a content type based on the extension of
the attachment file. Use the MIME Types tab to map a new
file extension to a specific type of content. You can also define
your own MIME types.
On the Start menu, point to
Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click
System Manager.
In the console tree, double-click Global Settings.
Right-click Internet Message Formats, and then click
Properties.
On the General tab, double-click a content type.
To change the content type, in the Type drop-down list,
select a new content type.
To change the extension, in Associated extension, enter
a new file extension. You do not need to include the "." before the
extension.
