Before you create a newsfeed to circulate newsgroup articles,
you need to create a list of the newsgroups to which you want to
subscribe. This list is called an active list file and it allows
you to specify the newsgroups to which you subscribe.
To add an active list file to the server:
Use a text editor such as Notepad to create a file with the
following lines:
215 start
newsgroupnewsgroup
.
Newsgroup is the name of the newsgroup to which you want to
subscribe. You can list only one newsgroup on each line, but the
list can contain as many lines as you want.
To add the newsgroups in your active list file to the server,
run the Rgroup.vbs script in
the Inetsrvr directory with the following options:
