On the Start menu, point to
Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then
Expand Performance Logs and Alerts, and then click
In the details pane, right-click empty space, and then click
New Log Settings.
In Name, type a name for the log, and then click
On the General tab, click Add.
In Performance Object, select NNTP Server.
Use the following performance counters to get information about
NNTP Service activity:
Bytes Total/Sec. This value is greater than 0 when
active users are connected.
Current Connections. This value is greater than 0 when
users are connected.
Maximum Connections. This value should be significantly
less than the Limited to value set on the General tab
for the NNTP virtual server.
Tip If the number of maximum
connections is close to the limit you set for the server, you may
need to reconfigure your virtual server to handle more traffic, or
you may need to increase the limit you set on the server.
