Databases in the same storage group share transaction log files. Each transaction in a database is marked with an identifier to enable you to recover individual databases within a single storage group. Using the Microsoft Windows 2000 backup utility or a third-party backup product, any storage group or database can be backed up at any time. When backing up a database, you should also back up its transaction log. To back up a database and its transaction logs, back up the storage group containing the database. The logs are automatically included.
