Delete a Mailbox

To delete an Exchange mailbox, you purge it from its mailbox store. Once you delete a mailbox, you cannot recover it.

  1. Start System Manager
    On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to the mailbox you want to delete.

    Administrative Group or Organization

    1. Servers
    2. Storage Group
    3. Mailbox Store
    4. Mailbox
  3. To delete the mailbox, right-click the mailbox, and then click Purge.
