Install the Lotus Notes Client

Because Calendar Connector requires access to Lotus Notes client program files (DLLs), you must install the Lotus Notes client on the Exchange server where you plan to install Calendar Connector. You must install Lotus Notes client version 4.6 or later.

To install the Lotus Notes client:

  1. From the Lotus Notes installation point, double-click the Notes Install program.
  2. Install the client software. If you are installing Lotus Notes client version 5 (R5), select Domino Administrator. This option also installs the Notes client.
  3. When configuring the client after installation, provide the connector's user name or ID file for identification.
  4. The default location of the Notes.ini file is drive:\Lotus\Notes\. You will need this information when you configure the connector for Lotus Notes.
  5. Verify that the drive:\Lotus\Notes\ directory is added to the system path. To locate the Lotus Notes client installation, the connector searches the system path on the Exchange server.
  6. Start the Lotus Notes client, and then verify that you can establish a connection to the Lotus Notes Domino server.

For more information on installing and configuring the Lotus Notes client, see the Lotus Notes documentation.
