Software Requirements

The Microsoft Windows 2000 Server network and Novell GroupWise requirements for running Connector for Novell GroupWise are described in this section.

On the Windows Network

• Gateway and Client Services for NetWare, or the Novell NetWare Client 32 (to enable mapping to a NetWare Server).

Note   If you use Gateway and Client Services for NetWare and have trouble logging on, try configuring the service in Windows Control Panel to use Preferred Server rather than Default Tree and Context options to connect to NetWare.

On Novell GroupWise

• Connector for Novell GroupWise supports directory synchronization and messaging for GroupWise versions 4.1 or later running on NetWare Server versions 3.x or 4.x.

Note   The connector must have access to an API gateway dedicated to it.

The following are required on the Novell NetWare server that hosts the GroupWise recipients:

• Novell NetWare version 3.x or later.
• GroupWise 4.1 API Gateway NetWare Loadable Module (NLM) (GW41API.exe).
• Novell NetWare Administrator.
• Novell GroupWise, version 4.1 or later.
• GroupWise Patch 2 for API NLM/OS2 (GW41API2.exe).
