Export Users, Contacts, and Groups

You must specify a container if you want to export Active Directory users, contacts, or groups. You can specify a container in a different domain if the domains have an established trust relationship.

In addition, you must specify whether to export groups and contacts. They are not exported by default.

To export users, contacts, and groups:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to Connector for Novell GroupWise.

    Connectors

    1. Connector for Novell GroupWise
  3. Right-click Connector for Novell GroupWise (server_name), and then click Properties.
  4. On the Export Containers tab, click Add, and then click an Active Directory container (also called an organizational unit). Click Apply.
  5. Select the Export contacts check box to send the names of Exchange contacts to GroupWise.

Note   When a GroupWise directory entry is imported into Active Directory, the entry is marked so that the connector will not export it back to GroupWise. This applies regardless of whether Export contacts is checked.

  6. Select the Export groups check box to send directory information for groups to GroupWise.

Tip   To remove an export container from the list used by the connector, select the container from the list of export containers, and then click Remove. Directory information in transit is delivered. The connector will perform a full reload during the next directory synchronization.

This does not remove the container from Active Directory.
