Configure the Lotus Notes/Domino Server

Important   You must configure the Lotus Notes/Domino server before configuring the connector.

To configure the Lotus Notes/Domino server to operate with the connector:

1. Update the Notes Person document for the connector's Notes user ID to exclude it from directory synchronization.
2. Grant the connector Depositor access to Mail.box, the Lotus Notes/Domino server router mailbox.
3. Grant the connector Editor access with Delete documents privileges to the Notes Name and Address Book.

4. Note   If you configure separate source and target Name and Address Books, you only need to grant the connector Reader access to the source Name and Address Book. In this case, the target Name and Address Book requires Editor access.

5. Grant the connector Reader access to databases from which users create doclinks.
6. Identify the Exchange organization as a foreign domain to Notes.
7. Grant the connector's Notes user ID permission to perform routine database maintenance.
8. Enable the Lotus Notes/Domino server to route Internet-bound messages through Exchange.
