Grant Depositor Access to the Server Router Mailbox

When you grant the Notes connector Depositor access, Notes updates the Access Control List (ACL) of the Lotus Notes/Domino server router mailbox to allow access by the Notes connector. You must explicitly grant the connector Depositor access to the Lotus Notes/Domino server router mailbox, even though the default access for router mailboxes is Depositor. This is a two-part process. First, you add the server's mail router mailbox to the Notes administrator's workspace if it is not already present. Then, you check the Mail.box ACL.

To add the server's mail router mailbox to the Notes administrator's workspace:

  1. On the File menu, click Database, and then click Open.
  2. Select the Lotus Notes/Domino server.
  3. In Filename, type Mail.box, and then click Add Icon.
  4. Click Done.

To check the Mail.box ACL:

Note   You must have Manager access to change the ACL of any Notes database.

  1. Select the icon for Mail.box (typically identified on the Notes desktop as Outgoing Mail).
  2. On the File menu, click Database, and then click Access Control.
  3. Add the connector's user ID to the list of persons in the ACL.
  4. Select the connector's user ID.
  5. In Access, click Depositor, and then click OK.
