Control the Propagation of Notes Groups to Exchange

When you configure directory synchronization, you can control the propagation of specific Lotus Notes groups (distribution lists) to Exchange. This enables Exchange users to address messages to a group of Notes users by specifying the name of the group as a message recipient. When the Lotus Notes/Domino server receives the message, it distributes the message to each Lotus Notes user who is a member of the group.

You can prevent the propagation of Notes groups to Exchange by:

To control the propagation of Lotus Notes groups to Exchange:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to Connectors.

    1. Connectors
  3. Right-click Connector for Lotus Notes (server_name), and then click Properties.
