Synchronize Directory Information Now

Typically, directory information is synchronized according to a predefined schedule that you set. Sometimes, however, you may need to synchronize directory information before the scheduled time. The Notes connector enables you to propagate directory updates separately in each direction: from Exchange to Notes, and from Notes to Exchange.

To synchronize directory information now:

  1. Start System Manager
    On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to Connectors.

  3. Right-click Connector for Lotus Notes (server_name), and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Dirsync Options tab.
  5. To synchronize directory information from Exchange to Notes, click one of the following under Exchange to Notes directory synchronization:
  6. Immediate full reload

    This option initiates an immediate reload of Active Directory to the Notes directory.

    Immediate update

    This option initiates an immediate update (changed and new objects only) from Active Directory to the Notes directory.
  7. To synchronize directory information from Notes to Exchange, click one of the following under Notes to Exchange directory synchronization:
  8. Immediate full reload

    This option initiates an immediate reload of the entire Notes directory to Active Directory.

    Immediate update

    This option initiates an immediate update (changed or new objects only) from the Notes directory to Active Directory.
