Connecting to Other Messaging Systems

Test the Connection Between Exchange and Notes

After configuring the connector, you should test the connection between the two systems before allowing users to exchange messages. You first synchronize the Exchange and Notes directories, and then you check the import container (an organizational unit in Active Directory) and the Notes Name and Address Book on the Lotus Notes/Domino server.

  1. Start Services
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
  2. Verify that the Notes connector service is running. If it is not running, start it now.
  3. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  4. Navigate to Connectors.
