You can manually remove Exchange attributes from Exchange
recipient objects. You need to remove these attributes only if one
of the following circumstances occurs:
You perform a disaster recovery to a server, and you cannot
reconnect Exchange mailboxes to existing Active Directory objects.

You use Active Directory Connector (ADC), and you notice that
some of your Exchange attributes are being improperly matched with
your Active Directory user objects. More information on this topic
can be found in common issues.
Warning Do
not attempt to remove Exchange attributes until you have discussed
the need to perform this procedure with Microsoft Product Support.

To remove Exchange attributes from recipient objects:
On the Start menu, point to
Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then
click Active Directory Users and Computers.
In the console tree, expand the Windows 2000 domain.
Double-click Users, or double-click the node that contains
the recipient information you want to modify.
In the details pane, right-click the user you want to modify,
and then click Exchange Tasks.
In Exchange Task Wizard, click Next, select the
Remove Exchange Attributes check box, and then click
Next.
Verify that the information is correct, and then click
Next
