Managing Recipient Settings

Set No Limit on Message Size for Groups

You can allow mail-enabled groups to send and receive messages of any size. Since message limits are set in the group's Properties dialog box, you can set the message size as No limit on a group-by-group basis.

To set no limit on message size:

  1. Start Active Directory Users and Computers
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Users and Computers.
  2. In the console tree, expand the Windows 2000 domain. Double-click Users, or double-click the node that contains the recipient information you want to modify.
  3. In the details pane, double-click the group you want to set an unlimited message size for.
  4. On the Exchange General tab, under Message size, select No limit.
