You can translate incoming messages in the uuencode format into
BinHex for Macintosh. You can also choose a default character set
which enables you to use Windows character sets rather than
standard Internet character sets.
Important
When you select UUEncode, you cannot select the MIME
option. However, you can select Use Microsoft Exchange rich-text
format.
To translate uuencode messages into BinHex for Macintosh:
On the Start menu, point to
Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then
click Active Directory Users and Computers.
In Active Directory Users and Computers, on the
View menu, click Advanced Features.
In the console tree, expand the Windows 2000 domain.
Double-click Users, or double-click the node that contains
the recipient information you want to modify.
In the details pane, double-click the mailbox-enabled user you
want to modify.
On the Exchange Advanced tab, click Protocol
Settings.
In the Protocols dialog box, select POP3, and
then click Settings.
In the POP3 Protocol Details dialog box, select the
Enable for mailbox check box, and then click to clear the
Use protocol defaults check box.
To translate incoming messages into BinHex for Macintosh, under
Message encoding, select UUEncode, and then select
the Use BinHex for Macintosh check box.
In the Default character set drop-down list, select a
character set.
To display Rich Text Format, select the Use Microsoft
Exchange rich-text format check box.
