Enable and Disable Exchange Features From the Exchange Features Tab

Exchange 2000 offers features that provide mailbox-enabled and mail-enabled users with enhanced functionality such as Instant Messaging. You can enable and disable this functionality for each user from the Exchange Features tab.

To enable or disable Exchange features:

  1. Start Active Directory Users and Computers
    On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Users and Computers.
  2. In the console tree, expand the Windows 2000 domain. Double-click Users, or double-click the node that contains the recipient information you want to modify.
  3. In the details pane, double-click the user for whom you are enabling or disabling an Exchange feature.
  4. On the Exchange Features tab, under Features, select a feature, and then click Enable or Disable.
