For mailbox-enabled users, you can set the maximum size limit
for an outgoing message by using default limits or by selecting the
maximum size of the outgoing message in kilobytes (KB). Since
maximum message size limits are set on the mailbox-enabled user's
Properties dialog box, you can set different maximum size
limits for different users.
Note The default maximum size
limit of outgoing messages is defined in the Global Settings
node in Exchange System Manager.
To select the maximum size limit of outgoing messages:
On the Start menu, point to
Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then
click Active Directory Users and Computers.
In the console tree, expand the Windows 2000 domain.
Double-click Users, or double-click the node that contains
the recipient information you want to modify.
In the details pane, double-click the mailbox-enabled user you
are modifying.
On the Exchange General tab, click Delivery
Restrictions.
In the Delivery Restrictions dialog box, under
Sending message size, select Maximum KB, and then
type the maximum outgoing message size limit, in kilobytes
(KB).
