Managing Recipient Settings

Change Priority of a Recipient Policy

You can define the order in which recipient policies are applied to recipients. For example, if you want users in Europe to have a specific set of addresses, you must create a recipient policy with your European users as members. Make the priority of the European recipient policy higher than the default policy, so that it applies to European users who are also members of the default policy.

To change the priority of a policy:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Double-click on Recipient Policies.
  3. In the details pane, right-click the recipient policy you are modifying, and then point to All Tasks.
  4. To increase the priority of the recipient policy, click Move up.

    - or -

To decrease the priority of the recipient policy, click Move down.
  5. Note   To increase or decrease the priority of a recipient policy by more than one level, continue to right-click the recipient policy, point to All Tasks, and then click either Move up or Move down.
