Understanding Address Templates

The recipients in your organization use address templates to address messages to mailboxes that are not located in global address list or personal address book.

These address templates are also called one-off address templates. They are often used to send a single piece of e-mail to a particular address and are not used again. However, you can use this template to send e-mail and then add the addressee to your personal address book. Exchange 2000 provides the following address templates:

Note   You can view address templates from System Manager, but you cannot modify them.

Understanding the Foreign Language Options for Address Templates

During setup, Exchange installs address templates for the following foreign languages:

Important   Other Outlook languages will not be able to display the properties for address list objects.
