Add an Address Space

When you connect to an external system, you must specify an address space for the connector to use.

To add an address space to an existing connector:

  1. Start System Manager
    On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to Connectors.
    If you do not have routing groups defined:

    System Manager

    1. Administrative Groups
    2. <First Administrative Group>
    3. Connectors

    If you do have routing groups defined:

    System Manager

    1. Administrative Groups
    2. <First Administrative Group>
    3. Routing Groups
    4. <First Routing Group>
    5. Connectors
  3. Right-click a connector to which you want to add an address space, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Address Space tab, and then click Add.
  5. Select the type of address space you want to add. The address space type defaults to the type of the connector. You can choose X.400 (X400), Microsoft Mail (MS), SMTP (SMTP), Lotus cc:Mail (CCMAIL), Lotus Notes (NOTES), Novell GroupWise (GWISE), or other (Other).
  6. In the address space Properties, type all necessary information according to the addressing conventions for the following address space types:
