Modify the Default SMTP Recipient Address

Default SMTP addresses for Exchange mailboxes are created according to the default recipient policy, an example of which is suzan@nwtraders.com.

To modify the default SMTP recipient address:

  1. Start System Manager
    On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Navigate to Recipient Policies.

  3. In the details pane, right-click Default Policy, click Properties, and then click the E-Mail Addresses tab.
  4. Under Generation rules, select SMTP, and then click Edit.
  5. In Address, type the new default SMTP recipient address.
