You use an X.25 X.400 connector to connect to an X.25 device.
For an X.25 connector, you must know the X.121 address of the
remote server. The X.121 address is the X.25 equivalent of a phone
number. You specify the X.121 address on the Stack tab. You
can set up the X.25 network connection, including the remote X.121
address, in Windows 2000 Network and Dial-up Connections. For more
information about X.25 connections, see the Windows 2000
documentation.
Right-click Connectors, click New, and then
select X.25 X.400 Connector.
On the General tab, in Name, type the connector
name that is displayed in System Manager.
On the General tab, under Remote X.400 name,
click Modify. In Remote Connection Credentials, in
Remote X.400 name, type the name of the remote X.400
connector on the remote server (the remote connector name defaults
to the remote server name). In Password, type the password
for the remote X.400 connector. In Confirm password, re-type
the password.
On the Address Space tab, click Add. Select an
address type, and then in Address Properties, type all
necessary information,
including cost.

On the Connected Routing Groups tab, click New. On
the General tab, in Organization, type the name of
the organization that contains the routing group to which you want
to connect, and then, in Routing Group, type the name of the
routing group to which you want to connect.
Note The organization must
exist on an Exchange server so that the naming conventions are
known. You can also optionally type address space information and cost
on the Routing Address tab. By default, the address space is
created from the organization and routing group names, and the cost
is 1.
If the remote system is not an Exchange server, on the
Advanced tab, clear the Allow Exchange contents check
box. If you don't clear the check box, addresses on messages are in
domain name form and not in X.400 form, and replies are not
possible.
On the Stack tab, in X.121 address type the X.121
address of the remote server as specified in the X.25 network
service setup.
(Optional) To specify additional connection data required by
the X.25 provider, on the Stack tab, in Call user,
type the additional information. In Facilities, type options
you want from the X.25 provider, such as /r for the reversal
of charges.
(Optional) To further define the connector address in cases
where other services or applications are using the same transport
stack, on the Stack tab, click OSI to type OSI address
information.
