View and Save Message History

After a message or group of messages matching your criteria is found, the search results are displayed in the lower half of Message Tracking Center. If a message is not found, it was not logged in the message tracking log. If you cannot find a message in the search results and you do not have enough information to filter the search to find the message, you can manually review the message tracking logs.

Tip   If a piece of information, for example the priority of the message, is not logged in the tracking log file, that field in the message history is blank.

To view and save a message history:

  1. If you have not yet done so, search for a message to track.
  2. In the lower half of the Message Tracking Center dialog box, click the message text of which you want to view the history, and then click Message History.
  3. To save the message history to a text file for reference when log files are cleared, in Message History, from the File menu, click Save. In File name, type the name, and then use the navigation window to select a location in which to save the file.
