Migrate Mail Message Files Using Outlook

Mail message files (MMFs) store mail, attachments, and PABs for users of Windows and OS/2 clients with Microsoft Mail for PC Networks version 3.x. If the MMF for a mailbox is on the client or stored on a server instead of in the Microsoft Mail postoffice, the user can migrate the contents using the MMF file import option in Outlook.

If the user has used multiple information services, such as AT&T, MHS, or CompuServe, there may be multiple PABs in the MMF. If the MMF is migrated with the Profile Wizard or Migration Wizard, all PABs are automatically migrated. If the MMF is migrated with the Import command, the user can select specific PABs to migrate.

To import an MMF file using Outlook 2000:

1. On the File menu, click Import and Export.
2. In Import and Export Wizard, click Import from another program or file, and then click Next.
3. Select Microsoft Mail File (.mmf), and then follow the wizard's directions.
