Initial Exchange 2000 Migration Tasks

Before you migrate mailboxes from one Exchange 2000 organization or server to another, you must perform initial migration tasks. In addition, mailbox owners must complete specific initial migration tasks.

To prepare to migrate from Exchange 2000:

1. Reduce the amount of Exchange data to be migrated as much as possible.
2. Ensure that the owners of the Exchange 2000 mailboxes to be migrated perform the initial user tasks.
