The Replication Agent is a computer running Windows 2000 that is
situated logically between the publisher and the subscriber
servers. Replication Agent performs the replication service by
logging on as both the publisher and the subscriber. Typically,
Replication Agent is configured on the publisher server.
The computer on which Replication Agent is installed must be
configured as follows:
Microsoft Windows 2000 installed.
The computer must be added to the Windows 2000 domain of the
publisher or subscriber server.
Microsoft Outlook installed.
Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server installed.
To set up Replication Agent:
Create a directory called Exchsync on the publisher or
Copy the following files from the Exchange CD
(<<I>CD-ROM drive>:\Support\Exchsync) to the
Exscfg.exe. This is the InterOrg Replication
Exssrv.exe. This is the InterOrg Replication
