Set Up Replication Agent

The Replication Agent is a computer running Windows 2000 that is situated logically between the publisher and the subscriber servers. Replication Agent performs the replication service by logging on as both the publisher and the subscriber. Typically, Replication Agent is configured on the publisher server.

Important   The computer on which Replication Agent is installed must be configured as follows:

To set up Replication Agent:

  1. Create a directory called Exchsync on the publisher or subscriber server.
  2. Copy the following files from the Exchange CD (<<I>CD-ROM drive>:\Support\Exchsync) to the Exchsync directory.
