Managing Public Folders

Create a New Top-Level Root

Each top level root exists on the same level as the Public Folders hierarchy and uses its own database to store folder structure and contents.

To create a new top-level root:

  1. Start System Manager
On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. If administrative groups are displayed, expand Administrative Groups, and then expand the group you want to work with.
  3. Right-click Folders, point to New, and then click Public Folder Tree.
  4. In Name, type a name for the new public folder tree.
  5. To create the new public folder tree, in Properties, click OK.
