When you are ready to enroll users in KMS, you have the option
of individual or bulk enrollment. Through either method, the users
you enroll will receive an enrollment token. Those users can then
navigate the security options of Outlook and select Set up
Security for me on the Exchange Server, at which point the
users will be prompted to type in their token. This completes the
users enrollment in KMS.
Note For more information on
all security options available to your users through Outlook, see
the Outlook documentation.
On the Start menu, point to
Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click
System Manager.
In console tree, click Advanced Security.
In the detail pane, right-click Key Manager, point to
All Tasks, and then click Enroll Users.
In the Key Management Service Login dialog box, type
your password, and then click OK. The default password is
password.
Note You will have to re-type
your password each time you try to perform a task or click a tab in
the Key Manager Properties dialog box.
To enroll users in Advanced Security, in Enroll Users
Selection, you can perform one of the following tasks.
To enroll individual users, click Display an alphabetic list
of user names from the global address book (the default), and
then click OK. Your organization's address book will appear
in Enroll Users. Select one or more users, and then click
Add to add them to the Selected users column. To send
them a token, click Enroll. Users that are currently
enrolled in KMS will be visible, but are not available for
selection.
To enroll groups of users, choose Display mailbox stores,
Exchange servers, and administrative groups of eligible users,
and then click OK. Your organization's administrative groups
will appear in Enroll Users. Click to expand the appropriate
administrative group, and continue expanding as needed until you
can select the desired node for enrollment. All of the users in the
node that you select, and all of its sub-nodes, will receive a
token when you click Enroll.
