Troubleshooting
Lotus Notes Connector
Use the information in this section to identify and solve
problems with the Notes connector.
What problem are you having?
I've installed the connector, but directory
synchronization does not work.
Causes
- More than one Notes connector is connected to the same Notes
domain.
- A Notes client is not installed on the Exchange 2000 server
that runs the connector.
- The connector service is not running.
- One or more configuration settings are incorrect.
- The Lotus Notes/Domino server is not running.
Solutions
- Verify that only one Notes connector is connected to the Notes
domain.
-
Install a Notes client on the Exchange 2000 server that runs
the connector.
- Start
the Notes connector service.
- In System Manager, check the connector configuration
settings.
- Verify that the Lotus Notes/Domino server is running.

I've synchronized directory information between
Exchange and Notes, but users are not receiving messages.
Causes
- The Notes proxy address generated for Exchange users is
incorrect.
- The Exchange foreign domain has not been created or is
different from the one specified in the connector
configuration.
- The connector service is not running.

Exchange users are receiving messages from Notes, but
Notes users are not receiving messages from the Exchange
organization.
Exchange users who receive Notes messages that contain
doclinks cannot view the target documents.
Cause
The connector does not have Reader access to the Notes databases
that contain the documents.
Solution
Grant
the connector Reader access to the Notes databases.
