Exchange 2000 Server - Common Issues

Cause

In Exchange 2000, only SMTP and X.400 addresses are generated by default. SMTP and X.400 addresses are an integral part of Exchange 2000 and cannot be disabled.

Solution

You can create additional e-mail addresses for recipients using two methods:

You can add an e-mail address type to an existing recipient policy; for example, to the default recipient policy.
You can create a new recipient policy that generates the necessary e-mail addresses for recipients who need additional e-mail address types.
