The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry to check for the presence of a client-oriented remote procedure call (RPC) binding order registry entry on the Exchange Server computer:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Exchange Provider\Rpc_Binding_Order

If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds the Rpc_Binding_Order present, a warning is displayed.

If the Rpc_Binding_Order value is present, it indicates that one or more of the following is installed on the computer:

To remove the Rpc_Binding_Order registry entry

  1. Open a registry editor such as Regedit.exe or Regedt32.exe.

  2. Navigate to: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Exchange Provider

  3. Delete the Rpc_Binding_Order value.

  4. Close the registry editor, and restart all Exchange Server services or reboot the Exchange Server computer for the change to take effect.
