The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\ScanMail for Exchange\CurrentVersion\Version
A Version value of 6.2100 indicates that Trend Micro ScanMail Client Service Messaging Security for SMB v2.0 is installed.
The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer also queries the CIM_Datafile Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine the version of Client Service Messaging Security for SMB version 2.0 that is installed. If the major build number is less than 1145, the Exchange Server Analyzer displays a warning.
This warning indicates that Client Server Messaging Security for SMB v2.0 is installed on the Exchange server and that a recommended software update is available. The recommended update is Client Server Messaging Security for SMB v2.0 Patch 2 for Messaging Component. This update is highly recommended and can improve the overall performance and reliability of the server.
