The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool scans for the following registry entry to determine whether the Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 9.x Internet E-Mail Auto Protect plug-in is installed:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Snap-In\InternetMail
The presence of this registry branch indicates that the Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 9.x Internet E-Mail Auto Protect plug-in is installed on the server that is running Exchange Server.
The Exchange Server Analyzer also reads the following registry entry to determine whether the Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 9.x Internet E-Mail Auto Protect plug-in is enabled:
HKLM\Software\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Snap-In\InternetMail\RealTimeScan\OnOff
A value of 1 for OnOff indicates that the Auto Protect plug-in is enabled. A value of 0 indicates the Auto Protect plug-in is not enabled.
The Exchange Server Analyzer displays a warning if the following conditions are true:
- The Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 9.x Internet
E-Mail Auto Protect plug-in is installed.
- The Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 9.x Internet
