The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the Win32_SCSIController Microsoft® Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine whether a value is set for the DriverName key. The Exchange Server Analyzer Tool determines whether the following conditions exist:
- The Emulex FC Port driver is installed on the Exchange
server.
- The current version of the Emulex FC Port driver is installed
on the Exchange server.
- The Emulex FC Port driver was updated in the last two
years.
If the Exchange Server Analyzer finds that the value for the DriverName key has not been updated in more than two years, the Exchange Server Analyzer displays a warning.
The Emulex FC Port driver provides SCSI-only or concurrent SCSI and IP functionality within a single host bus adapter (HBA) or several HBAs. The FC Port driver supports Fibre Channel arbitrated loop (FC-AL) topologies, point-to-point topologies, and fabric topologies. The FC Port driver is designed for specialized applications that require host-based logical unit number (LUN) mapping or persistent binding.
To update Emulex FC Port driver, see Downloads and Manuals for Windows (http://www.emulex.com/ts/docfc/winframe.htm). If you need special OEM drivers, see the Emulex software and documentation Web site (http://www.emulex.com/ts/index.html).
