The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool searches for the application public folder hierarchy in the Active Directory® directory service domain. When the Exchange Server Analyzer finds non-MAPI public folder trees, the Exchange Server Analyzer displays a warning. The warning indicates that non-MAPI public folder trees are present in the Exchange organization. These custom application trees are not supported in Exchange Server 2007.
Non-MAPI public folder trees are used for custom application development. These trees occur in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 but are not supported in Exchange 2007. It is recommended that before you deploy Exchange 2007 you either:
- Move the non-MAPI public folder trees to a SharePoint Portal
Server.
- Maintain the data on the Exchange 2003 server.
For more information about different public folder hierarchies, see "Selecting the Appropriate Client for Exchange Public Folder Access" (http:// go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId =46439).
