The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the Active Directory® directory service to determine the value of gatewayProxy on your recipient policies and verify that the X.400 address ends in a semi-colon.
Correct formatting of an X.400 address in a recipient policy dictates that the address ends with a semi-colon. The semi-colon not being present will cause message routing to the X.400 address to be broken.
To correct this problem you will have to add a semi-colon to the end of the address using Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) Edit or the LDP tool.
Caution: |
---|
If you incorrectly modify the attributes of Active Directory objects when you use ADSI Edit, the LDP (ldp.exe) tool, or another Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) version 3 client, you may cause serious problems. These problems may require that you reinstall Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003, Exchange Server 2003 or Exchange Server 2007, or both. Modify Active Directory object attributes at your own risk. |
-
Open an Active Directory editor, such as ADSI Edit.
-
Expand Configuration [DomainName], expand, CN=Configuration, DC=DomainName, DC=DomainSuffix.

-
Expand CN=OrganizationName and then expand CN=Recipient Policies.
-
Right-click CN=PolicyName, and select Properties.
-
Scroll down to locate gatewayProxy, select it, and then click Edit.
-
In the Value field, enter the correct gatewayProxy.
-
Close the Active Directory editor and restart the Exchange Server computer for the change to take effect.
