The Microsoft® Exchange Server Analyzer Tool queries the Win32_Process Microsoft Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI) class to determine the value of the ThreadCount for the Exchange information store process. This value represents the number of active store threads on the server. If there are more than 400 active store threads, a warning message is displayed.

The most common cause of this problem is incompatible antivirus software running on the same computer.

To correct this warning

  1. Check with your vendor to be sure that you are running up-to-date and Exchange-compatible antivirus software.

  2. Update your antivirus software.
