The Microsoft Exchange Server Analyzer Tool checks for the presence of the following registry entry to determine whether the 2007 Office System Converter: Microsoft Filter Pack is installed on the server that is running Exchange Server:

The presence of this entry indicates that the 2007 Office System Converter: Microsoft Filter Pack is installed on the Exchange server.

2007 Office System Converter: Microsoft Filter Pack registers IFilters with the Windows Indexing Service. These IFilters are used by Microsoft Search products to index the contents of specific document formats. This Filter Pack includes IFilters for the following formats: .docx, .docm, .pptx, .pptm, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsb, .zip, .one, .vdx, .vsd, .vss, .vst, .vdx, .vsx, and .vtx.

If the Exchange Analyzer determines that the 2007 Office System Converter: Microsoft Filter Pack is not installed on the target server, the Exchange Analyzer displays a warning.
