The Client Access server role is one of the server roles for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. You can use the Client Access node in Organization Configuration to maintain Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policies and Outlook Web App mailbox policies.

Outlook Web App Mailbox Policies

An Outlook Web App mailbox policy is a group of settings that control the availability of features and access to attached files on a per-mailbox basis. There are a variety of settings that can be managed within the Exchange Management Console (EMC). To change settings for a specific Outlook Web App mailbox policy, right-click the mailbox policy name and then click Properties. You can also click the mailbox policy name and then click Properties in the Action pane.

Exchange ActiveSync Mailbox Policies

An Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policy is a group of settings that specify how a user or users can use their mobile device to connect to the Exchange server. There are a variety of settings that can be managed within the EMC. To change settings for a specific Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policy, right-click the mailbox policy name, and then click Properties. You can also click the mailbox policy name and then click Properties in the Action pane.
