Use the Set-WorkloadPolicy cmdlet to modify the properties of a workload policy.

For information about the parameter sets in the Syntax section below, see Syntax.

Syntax

Set-WorkloadPolicy -Identity <WorkloadPolicyIdParameter> -WorkloadClassification <Unknown | Discretionary | InternalMaintenance | CustomerExpectation | Urgent> [-Confirm [<SwitchParameter>]] [-DomainController <Fqdn>] [-WhatIf [<SwitchParameter>]]

Examples

EXAMPLE 1

This example decreases the priority of the PeopleRelevanceAssistant workload at the Contoso.com Dublin, Ireland location. Previously, Contoso.com created the custom workload policy DublinPeopleRelevanceAssistantWorkloadPolicy to set the classification of that workload to Discretionary. The classification of the PeopleRelevanceAssistant workload is being changed to InternalMaintenance.

Set-WorkloadPolicy -Identity DublinPeopleRelevanceAssistantWorkloadPolicy -WorkloadClassification InternalMaintenance

Detailed Description

The Set-WorkloadPolicy cmdlet can be used to change the classification of an existing workload, the type of the workload, or the name. This cmdlet should not be used to modify the properties of workload policies that are marked Default, which are automatically installed by Exchange during setup.

You need to be assigned permissions before you can run this cmdlet. Although all parameters for this cmdlet are listed in this topic, you may not have access to some parameters if they're not included in the permissions assigned to you. To see what permissions you need, see the "Exchange workload throttling" entry in the Server Health and Performance Permissions topic.
