Use the Manage Clustered Mailbox Server wizard to move, stop, and start a clustered mailbox server (CMS). The Exchange Management Shell can also be used to perform the tasks that are available in this wizard. Although Cluster Administrator and the Cluster.exe command-line tool can move, stop, and start cluster resource groups between nodes, you should not use either of them to manage a CMS. Instead, the preferred way to move, stop, or start a CMS is to use the Manage Clustered Mailbox Server wizard in the Exchange Management Console, or the equivalent cmdlets in the Exchange Management Shell, which are:
The Stop Clustered Mailbox Server page is used to enter an administrative comment regarding the reason the CMS is being stopped. Type a comment in the Stop reason field, and then click Next.
