This topic explains how to use the Exchange Management Console or the Exchange Management Shell to view single copy cluster configuration settings for databases.
Before You Begin
To perform the following procedures, the account you use must be delegated the following:
- Exchange Server Administrator role and local Administrators
group for the target server.
For more information about permissions, delegating roles, and the rights that are required to administer Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, see Permission Considerations.
To use the Exchange Management Console to view configuration settings for a database
Open the Exchange Management Console.
Expand Microsoft Exchange, expand Server Configuration, and then select Mailbox.
In the result pane, select the mailbox server that contains the database whose configuration you want to view.
In the work pane, expand the storage group that contains the database whose configuration you want to view.
Right-click the database that you want to view, and then select Properties.
Click the Database tab to view the configuration information. Specifically, this action allows you to view the location of the database file. The work pane also provides a column with this information.
To use the Exchange Management Shell to view configuration settings for a database
For a mailbox database, run the following command:
Get-MailboxDatabase -Identity:<Server\StorageGroup\Database> | Format-list
For a public folder database, run the following command:
Get-PublicFolderDatabase -Identity:<Server\StorageGroup\Database> | Format-list
This command returns information about the database in list format, including configuration information, such as database location information.
