Use the Message Delivery Restrictions dialog box to configure message delivery restrictions for the mail-enabled public folder. Message delivery restrictions can be useful for controlling access to specific mail-enabled public folders in your Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 organization.
You can configure the following message delivery restrictions for a mail-enabled public folder.
- Accept messages from
-
Select one of the following options for accepting messages:
- All senders The mail-enabled public
folder will accept messages from all senders, both senders in the
Exchange organization and external senders. This is selected
by default.
Note: This option includes external users only if you clear the Require that all senders are authenticated check box. If this check box is selected, messages from external users will be rejected, even if All senders is selected. - Only senders in the following list The
mail-enabled public folder will accept messages only from a
specified set of senders in the Exchange organization:
- Click Add to select senders from whom to accept
messages. The Select Recipient dialog box displays a list of
all recipients in the Active Directory directory service
forest. Select the recipients you want, and then click OK.
You can also search for a specific recipient by typing its name in
the Search box, and then clicking Find Now.
- Click to delete the selected sender from the list.
- Click Add to select senders from whom to accept
messages. The Select Recipient dialog box displays a list of
all recipients in the Active Directory directory service
forest. Select the recipients you want, and then click OK.
You can also search for a specific recipient by typing its name in
the Search box, and then clicking Find Now.
- Require that all senders are
authenticated Select this check box to prevent
anonymous users from sending messages to the public folder.
- All senders The mail-enabled public
folder will accept messages from all senders, both senders in the
Exchange organization and external senders. This is selected
by default.
- Reject messages from
-
Select one of the following options:
- No senders The public folder will not
reject messages from any senders in the Exchange organization. This
is selected by default.
- Senders in the following list The
public folder will reject messages from a specified set of senders
in the Exchange organization:
- Click Add to select senders from whom the public folder
will reject messages. The Select Recipient dialog box
displays a list of all recipients in the
Active Directory forest. Select the recipients you want,
and then click OK. You can also search for a specific
recipient by typing its name in the Search box, and then
clicking Find Now.
- Click to delete the selected sender from the list.
- Click Add to select senders from whom the public folder
will reject messages. The Select Recipient dialog box
displays a list of all recipients in the
Active Directory forest. Select the recipients you want,
and then click OK. You can also search for a specific
recipient by typing its name in the Search box, and then
clicking Find Now.
- No senders The public folder will not
reject messages from any senders in the Exchange organization. This
is selected by default.
